Things I look forward to - January
I might be a little late to the game for this month but hey, there’s still so much to look forward to! And it’s not like anyone has ever gotten any real work done before the 10th anyways right?
Yes January has finally poked it’s wintery head around the corner which can only mean one thing. My birthday is here! Such fun! Birthdays are a big deal in my book, I absolutely love them. Mine, yours, anyones it doesn’t matter any excuse to celebrate is a good one (I might be slightly partial to mine tho). Although I spent my childhood yearning for an outdoor birthday party basking in glorious sun, playing with my friends in nature that is in full bloom and eating strawberry cake, I wouldn’t want to change my late January birthday. No honestly! I really like it. End of January is usually the period thats most likely to have snow which means I get to spend my birthday in a winter wonderland. Basically no one has any plans in January, It’s true, everyone is just at home trying to recover from the holidays but by the end of January they are ready for some social stimuli, thus everyone will make it to your party!
Ps: Please don’t count how many times i’ve written January in this post. Or birthday, just don’t.
For 2016 to be done
Hell to the yes! I know, I know we’ve all discussed this part till boredom already and I will not ponder any further. I think by now we are all ready to move on from this horrid excuse for a year and instead talk about how we can make 2017 a better one because I can promise you this, it is not just gonna happen effortlessly. Please discuss in small groups, I’ll be back soon. Oh and also, may 2017 be better for all of us.
My birthday usually marks the start of tulips for me, I always get them for my birthday and its like a small promise of spring and whats to come. I love that crisp squeaky feeling they give and it’s such a refreshing feeling to fill the void of all the Christmas decorations and the tree that has sadly departed to (a landfill near you) Christmas heaven. Even though spring actually is still months away I really like this part of the year. It’s still winter but the winter has transformed itself from the warm, fussy, lovely Christmas feeling you get in December and we are now left with the real winter. The crisp, wintery white, fresh winter. Bring on the squeaky tulips!
The release of the new The xx album
I’ve sadly found myself not being in the loop of new music what so ever these days and it’s really something I want to change. I have all these musicians that I love but haven’t followed at all for the last few years and it feels like I'm missing out on a whole lotta (see what I did there ;-) great music. So as a first step I am really excited about the new album from The xx!
The arrival of my Oskia cleanser
I reordered my Oskia Renaissance cleansing gel in November (!) and somewhere in the black hole that apparently exists between Sweden and the UK it disappeared. After a very long process of filing lost orders claims and various investigations it is now on it’s way home to me. I think I should stop talking about this now as I’m still a tad bitter about the situation and just continue to refresh the page with my order tracking. Here’s hoping.
